News

We are very blessed at St. Anthony’s to have the support of our Alumni Association that contributes tremendously to the wellbeing of our community. Among the local Catholic Schools, St. Anthony’s prides itself on having an incredibly active network of graduates founded on faith and tradition and remain committed to the mission of the Church, and especially to that of St. Anthony’s. The Alumni provide scholarship opportunities for local Catholic high school students, and contribute to many maintenance projects and efforts building up life and evangelization in our parish community–like our new website!

In September, the Alumni gathered for an annual golf outing to honor and remember recently deceased members of our family, and to gather as a family to continue sharing fond memories of Paduan days of old.

Recap: St. Anthony of Padua All-Class Reunion

We were blessed again to gather as a family at Drumlins Saturday August 5, 2023. Our celebration began with Mass celebrated by both Fr. John Kurgan and Fr. Brendan Foley who currently serve St. Anthony’s Parish, and we even had music from our parish’s current music director. While Fr. Chryst couldn’t be with us, we remembered him in prayer and we continue to be grateful for his support over the past several decades.

We also remembered with gratitude many of our friends, family, alumni, teachers, and benefactors who have gone home to the Lord, and asked for continued blessings on our school and parish communities both near and far. It never ceases to amaze us that love for St. Anthony’s continues to live in the hearts of many all over the country. Alumni traveled from near and far, but even as far as some west coast states to join in the celebration! We have nearly 800 living alumni, and of that group, we had a tremendous response of nearly ~350 attend our reunion.

Present also were recipients of our ongoing scholarship program made possible by our Alumni Association. Students attending Catholic High Schools in our local area with ties to St. Anthony’s have received financial scholarships through the generosity of our Alumni and benefactors. We continue to value the gift of having access to a Catholic education like the one we received at St. Anthony’s, and while our school may have closed many years ago, St. Anthony’s still continues to support the mission of the Church in providing access to formation and education for the whole of life, body and soul, to many young people.

Special gratitude to Jim Wright and Kathy Kane and their team of Alums and Volunteers who made this such a memorable day and event. Be sure to see below some picture highlights from our day.
